The sims for Mac

So I’m a Mac user and I used to play the sims often. Due to school and work I haven’t been able to update it.  I played it last in March and haven’t used it since. I really wanted to play it, right?  So I start updating it and it makes it to 74 PERCENT.  I have since restarted my Mac FOUR TIMES, deleted origin THREE TIMES, and shut everything down completely.  It says resuming and it has been for around three hours.  It’s currently at 34 percent.  W H Y   D O E S   T H I S  H A P P E N   N O W?

I really just want to play the game but it’s not working.  Hella pissed.
