I was trying to download some new cc into my game, but it wouldn't show up. After reloading the game after a few times, I tried to uninstall it then reinstall it. I backed up my saves folder, my tray folder, and my mods folder. While keeping all three of the folders out of the game, the game still ran with the same saves and the same mods that had been there before I had uninstalled my game. I restarted my computer multiple times, and it still showed up like that. After a while, I finally decided to just delete the entire "The Sims 4" folder while keeping my backups. To go into more detail, I went into the electronic arts folder, then from there, I put "The Sims 4" folder into the trash and emptied it. I tried running the game again, hoping that it would both start fresh and create a new "The Sims 4" folder. Neither happened. My old saves were still there, and so was my old cc. I am now trying to update my computer to the newest updates, but I'm not sure if that will work. I am on a Mac, and I use origin. Please help.

From what I can tell, there isn't an iCloud drive that it would be going in.

Let's do a thorough check. Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*saves*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

Oh my goodness, I took a closer look and I realized that I was putting my mods in the wrong folder. I'm terribly sorry for causing all of the hassles. Anyways, thank you so much for helping me! I really appreciate it )
