The game failed to load

[ Edited ]

Hello, I was recently playing Sims 4 on my MacBook Air and while I was waiting for my game to load I ran into this problem, I got a message popped on my screen that says "The game failed to load. Error code: 102:ff495b5:b3c27d2. It is recommended that you relaunch the game." I have relaunched my game several times I also tried to "repair" my game and check for any updates, I updated my MacBook Air as well. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

-Thank You, Luz

@LuzArgueta  You can try running the Origin reset tool for macs, and then disabling Origin in-game.

The next thing to do is drag your entire TS4 folder out of Documents and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game again, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  See if you can load and play a new save in this folder, and if so, you can move your existing saves into it from your old folder.  If a new save works but an old one won't load, it might be that the old save is corrupt, in which case you'd have to revert to a previous version.

If you can't even load a new save in a clean folder, please post your mac's specs here.

I also have cc and script mods on my game and I did everything you directed but the same message is popping up for me.

Re: The game failed to load

@LuzArgueta  Your mods and/or cc may need to be updated after the latest patch.  Otherwise, even one outdated file could prevent TS4 from launching.  You'll have to check with the creators to find out whether their content has been updated or deemed compatible with the new patch.

If you can't load TS4 in a clean folder with no content (mods and cc included), and Origin disabled in-game, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game.  Here are a few things you can try first, if you haven't already, as well as a way to do a clean uninstall:

If you need to uninstall Origin, especially if it's not reinstalling TS4 properly, here's how to do so:
