The Sims 4 reinstalling packs each time I play

I have had The Sims 4 installed on my Mac for a while now and recently it has been redownloading all packs whenever I go to play the game. I have run the Origin reset tool many times and the problem persists. It is really frustrating because it takes over an hour for the downloads to finish. Is there any solution?

Sounds like your Sims 4 Packs folder is in a different location to your Sims 4 app - https://bluebellflora.com/2020/06/17/repairing-sims-4-packs-in-origin/
