The Sims 4 Mac- Application not Responding

I recently bought the Sims 4 through Origin and when the download finished, it didn't prompt me to install with the product key. After pressing play the screen went black as if it was launching the game but then the cursor kept circling to say it was loading. When I hovered over The Sims 4 icon on the taskbar it said "Application not responding". I have no CCs and no Mods. Please help.

You could also try the Origin reset tool.

I had this problem too, so i will click "Me too", but I HAD IT! And fixed it! Make sure that you have no apps running in the backround, because this may slow your game, if this still not works try to go to Origin then to My Game Library then right click on The Sims 4 icon then select Repair Game. If this still not working, follow this steps:
1.Be sure to be logged in
2.If you think that you are logged in, turn off internet connection
3.Then in the right corner it will say "You appear to be offline" but it doesn't matter.
4.After you did all this 3 steps (this is the step 4) you can open the game, but you can't chat or use online features!
