@mayaaaaaaaaaaa1 I'm not sure, but it sounds like you've never played TS3 on this computer? If this is not the case, please let us know, as the troubleshooting process will be different.
It's not clear exactly where this process went wrong, but perhaps it would be best if you did a manual uninstall of TS3. If a download was corrupted, this will get rid of the bad file(s), and you can start over clean. The uninstaller that comes with the game will miss some files, so it's necessary to delete them manually.

Once you've uninstalled but before reinstalling, it's a good idea to run the Origin reset tool for macs, in case Origin is part of the problem.

After that, please install the base game only, and then run the Super Patch (digital download version). Even if the game thinks it's patched, it may not be, and the Super Patch won't hurt.

At this point, you may be able to launch the game, and if so, you can install the rest of your expansion and stuff packs, patching again if prompted. Several packs require extra steps to install; Bluebellflora's guide on the process starts at step three of this post:
If you can't even launch the base game, you probably need to edit the .sgr files to force TS3 to recognize your graphics card. (This is step 2 in the above post.) If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, you can post your mac's specs here and get some help. This is the information needed for the sgr edits:

@mayaaaaaaaaaaa1 If you're talking about downloaded content you want to add to the game, those files will be in your TS3 game folder in Documents. (You can also find your saves here, if you have any, as well as your saved sims and builds.) You can move this folder to your desktop for safekeeping if you want; when you launch the game again, a new folder will spawn with no content. This is s a good way to test your new install to make sure that everything works. If it does, you can move your saves and downloaded content into the new folder from the old one.
