The Sims 3 'no disk found' when launching game -Mac

★★★ Newbie

When I've launched my game its says that the disk has not been inserted. I used Origin to try to get round this but it says the same thing. Any ideas??

@rominaciufo  The newer versions of mac OS will fail to authenticate TS3 discs, hence your error message.  You'll need to uninstall your newest pack (expansion or stuff) by release date and then download that pack through Origin.  A manual uninstall is probably necessary, as the uninstaller that comes with the game is unreliable at best and will miss some files.

If you've registered your content, it will already be available in your Origin library.  If you never registered your codes, you can do so now, provided you're the original owner of the discs.  The codes can be found on the backs of the inserts that came with your discs, or in your computer:

Also, @rominaciufo, the Launcher was never built to handle the amount of data a patch can contain. Follow the directions @puzzlezaddict gave you and let us know if it worked. If it did not, please reply back with the specs of your Mac. This information is found under the black Apple logo in the upper left hand corner.
