The Sims 3 64 Bit Not Launching from Origin

This works like a charm!! I had the same issue with the unknown error occurring. Maybe there was residual data in the electronic arts folder previously created by the all the installs/uninstalls. I moved the sims 3 folder to my desktop!! LAUNCHED. Thank you!
