Sims 4 won’t start

Hi

My daughters sims 4 doesn’t start. It stopped working about 4 days ago.

when she clicks the start game button in origin, the sims icon appear in the dashboard and stays there for 3-4 seconds, and then disappears, afterwards the origin window pops up again.

we tried updating both the computer and the game, also tried repairing the game, but nothing works.

She’s really sad because she bought the game with here own saved money.

really hope you can help us in some simple way because I’m really bad at computers.

running latest MacOS
