Sims 4 won't launch on MacBook Air

★★★ Newbie

So I just spent HOURS downloading the basic Sims 4 game to my computer since it's on sale! I haven't played the Sims in YEARS and I've missed it! But when I go to play it it says "Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running. [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51] and my virus protection, Trend Micro for Mac, says "Program blocked. The Sims 4 tried to open files protected by Folder shield. Trend Micro Antivirus stopped it for your protection."

I just want to play the Sims. What should I do?

I appreciate all the help!

have you tried deleting the electronic arts folder and then loading up the game again

@Realcarlym

Disable the antivirus then try to run it. As the message states, it is blocking the game from properly running.
