Error message updating sims 4

Where is your Sims 4 game installed? Is it in your Applications folder? Please run the Origin reset tool then try again.

I've done that but nothing still hasn't work do you know anything else?

Trying to download the Sims 4 update but getting to about 37% and the download stops and this message pops up...

"Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 to EAPatch error: unknown error 0x00002003: File write failure /Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Data/Client/ClientDeltaBuild3.package_DiP_STAGED.eaPatchTemp [Class: 3 SysErr: -1 ErrId: 8195] at (:0) Ctx: /Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Data/Client/ClientDeltaBuild3.package_DiP_STAGED.eaPatchTemp.

Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location."

Ive restarted Origin and cancelled and restarted the download. 

Can anyone help?

I fixed it by deleting the application all together and re downloading.

Hey I had the same problem on an macbook pro 13 and it turns out it was all just a storage thing, I cleared more space and it worked just fine

what if i don't have a file named Show package contents

Make sure to right click on the game in your Applications folder, this brings up a menu and Show Package Contents will be one of the options.
