Sims 4 uni crashing

Hi everyone!

Having some issues after downloading Sims 4 Uni on my Mac (I've noticed quite a few people have had similar issues but haven't found a solution yet!)

I can launch the game, enter CAS, and spend a while composing a new family, but as soon as I load a household (I've tried a saved file and a new file, neither work) the game crashes. I tried repairing the games in Origin, deleting/redownloading Origin all together, playing offline, and moving my Sims folder to my desktop but nothing has worked. I don't use mods or CC. I thought maybe my Mac didn't meet the system requirements so I tired using legacy and even that wasn't working. All I wanna do is live a nice Sim life, ya know?

version: 10.14.3 (Mojave)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Just checking in on this - anyone have some advice?

Make sure iCloud is turned off and see if that helps, it seems to be a common cause of the game crashing on loading a household for some.

Didn’t work, unfortunately! The game still crashes about 30 seconds into loading a household.

Could you update Mojave to the current version, 10.14.6 and see if that helps?
