Sims 4 stuck on loading screen after playing for a while [ Edited ]

For the past few days I've tried tp play sims 4 on my MacBook air and I'm able to load and play the game just fine for about half an hour. Then whenever I try to leave the sims house or enter CAS the loading screen gets stuck and stays that way forever. I've lost all my gameplay from today and yesterday because the only solve is to shut my whole laptop down to make it go away. I've checked all my mods and can't see they would be the issue anyway as I've had them for months and not had a problem until the past three days. Any help would be much appreciated
