Sims 4 not working after update [ Edited ]

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? The current one 🤷‍♀️
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get famous and Island living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playing
What happens when the bug occurs? I can go into sims and create a sim just fine it’s when I move them into the household it won’t let me play with them I click the play arrow thing and it just does the noise and doesn’t let me play
What do you expect to see? My sim in the house I selected
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

What do you mean by "it just does the noise"?

Basically what I meant by “it just does the noise” is that little ding when you first move into the house but when I click that nothing happens it just stays on the world screen. If I try with a game save and when I click the play button it stays on the loading screen and doesn’t come off of it.

I also moved all of my mods out of the folder and tried it again to see if it was my mods but it still wasn’t working after that.

Can you please move the whole Mods folder to the desktop AND trash the localthumbcache.package file which is also in the Sims 4 folder. Then try again.

You are running the Legacy Edition which you won't need to do if you update your version of macOS to 10.11.6 El Capitan or later.
