Sims 4 keeps freezing on my Mac [ Edited ]

So I added a bunch of mods and cc into my game a few years ago and it seemed to mess up my game for some reason

the issue right now seems to be whenever i load up my game with a bunch of cc cc that is up to date my cursor seems to freeze and the rest of the game won't load

I've tried the turning off origin in game which fixed it somewhat but my cursor is still freezing whenever i try to load up the game

I've also pulled the folder and it still keeps happening whenever i put the cc back

If it happens when you have CC in your Mods folder then the problem is the CC. Check it is all up to date and not conflicting with other pieces of CC. Maybe the CC is high poly so your Mac simply struggles to render and process it?
