Sims 4 keeps freezing during create a sim? Brand new MacBook Air.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Sims 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holiday Celebration Pack, Sims 4 Legacy Edition, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get to Work, Spa Day, Bowling Night Stuff, Spooky Stuff, and Vintage Glamor Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Every time I launch the game and go to create a sim
What happens when the bug occurs? The game freezes, but the music keeps playing. I have to do a hard reset of my MacBook.
What do you expect to see? The game should not be freezing.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I just got a brand new MacBook Air for my birthday and I was so excited to play The Sims on it! Unfortunately, I am unable due to it freezing. I am not amazing with computers so any advice is so welcome. Thank you so much!

Does it have an M1 chip? Or is it an earlier 2020 MacBook Air with Intel chip?
