Sims 4 keeps crashing on MacBook Air

Hello! I'm really hoping someone can help me. I have a MacBook Air (I'll post the specs below) that I play Sims 4 on and I've never had issues with the game until this year. It loads up fine but then crashes after a few minutes (or seconds) and forces my Mac to restart. I've uninstalled/installed Origin a bunch of times trying to fix it. I downgraded from MacOS Big Sur back to Catalina thinking it was a bug from BigSur. I've repaired and updated Sims 4 in Origin. I've also downloaded the Legacy Edition and then deleted that because I read that my Mac doesn't need it. I don't have any CC or mods. I really want to get my game working again, it's such a fun activity for me AND I've put so much money into it. Can anyone help me please?

Do you have a lastCrash file from the last time this happened, if so please can you copy/paste it here.

This is probably a really silly question, but where would I find the last crash files? I looked in my Sims 4 folder but I don't see anything that says that. Also, I read the post you link and I put the Sims 4 folder on my desktop. When I went to play it this morning (for close to an hour), it seemed to work fine and didn't crash. But just now when I tried to launch it, the game crashed after I tried to click on the family I wanted to play. Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it!!

Thanks When it crashed again, were you trying to play a new family you have just made or had you added your saves back in?

how would I do that? I'm so sorry, I'm a newb at the technical & troubleshooting side of sims/origin. lol I'm also not sure if it's that exact family I was playing with the caused the crashed. I reset Origin to try fixing the issue and it deleted my saved families but still crashed with the other families.

Origin would not have deleted your saves, it doesn't access the Sims 4 folder.

Open the saves folder and choose the save with the most recent modified date in Finder. It should be a file ending in .save.

Upload that file to a file sharing site such as Mediafire/Google Drive/Dropbox and then message me the link.
