Sims 4 half-black screen in macOS High Sierra

I'm currently having this issue as well, but my OS is High Sierra so it doesn't seem to be my OS that is the issue?
Half my screen turned black as well, but after attempting several tips on the forums my screen only enlarges then freezes now.
Here are my specs: (I apologise if I've left anything out or responded incorrectly on this thread. I'm new!)

MacBook Pro 2012
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDr3
Intel Graphics 630 1536 MB
Radeon Pro 555 2 GB

19.78 GB available

(Edit - split from the known issue Sierra thread here and edited the title, Bluebellflora)

@Lukelover98

I've split your post as the thread you posted in really is very specific to macOS Sierra.

Which exact version of High Sierra are you running?

Can you try toggling between full screen and windowed mode by holding down CTRL, CMD and F and see if that makes a difference.
