Sims 4 crashing on Mac

I can’t open my game. It gets pass the initial loading and then crashes. Removed all mods and delete what I could. Repaired. Updates. Nothing. I have it routed through a hard drive (never been a problem) so I don’t want to just delete and redownload. Any suggestions?

Can you move the entire Sims 4 folder to the desktop and see if the game then launches?

"I have it routed through a hard drive" - do you mean you have your game installed on an external drive?

MacOS High Sierra Vs 10.13.6

MacBook Pro 13inch 2017

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 2133 MHZ LPDDR3

Graphics Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB

I haven't tried moving it to my desktop because I had a hard time getting it to install through my external hard drive. So I guess technically my EA folder had to be in my documents on my actual hard drive so I "tethered (idk Chile)" so that everything is on my external hard drive.

Ah, you created a symlink to store the Sims 4 folder containing saves etc on the external?

Yes, exactly. Thankfully you’re good at charades.

You have to rename the folder on the external and it should create a new Sims 4 folder on the external when you next launch the game.
