Sims 4 closes randomly while playing (macbook)

Hi there,

I've had the Sims 4 with some added packs for quite some time now.

Recently I bought another 3 extra packs. 

Since then the game just quits randomly. Whilst I'm playing I hear my laptop working very hard, but it has always done that (and I've been told it's something typical for a 13inch laptop).

I've got a macbook pro 13 inch 2019: 

2,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB

Could someone pleaasse help me?

It's lockdown. I neeed my Sims!

How's your storage? Sometimes, if you don't have much storage left on your computer, programs can run into issues and behave unexpectedly (especially Sims from my experience )

What surface is your Mac on?

Have you made sure you don't have anything else open while you play?

Have you lowered in-game settings to see if it helps?

- I always make sure there is a flat, steady surface, so the fan can keep the laptop from overheating

- Yes, I tried that, but doesn't make any difference

- Yes, also did that.. it still keeps doing it.

Could it be an error in one of the newly added packs? 

Nothing freezes or anything. I'm just playin without any trouble and then all of sudden it just closes itself and everything is gone
