I've been playing the Sims 4 for a couple weeks now. I have had no issues with the game so far, until randomly today I have been unable to open the game. Every time I try to launch, it plays the opening graphic, but then pauses before the green gem begins to spin (I have attached a screenshot of what the game stops on). When I right-click the app it says application not responding. I have repaired the game multiple times, turned off Origin in-game, removed the Sims 4 folder from EA to my desktop, removed all CC, checked for updates, and still nothing seems to work. I played the game last night and everything was working fine. Help @Bluebellflora

When you moved the Sims 4 folder to the desktop was it the folder from the Electronic Arts folder that contained yours saves and other folders?
If it was, did you copy any of the contents over to a new Sims 4 folder?
