Hey - I uninstalled origin/sims a few months ago and just reinstalled today. Can’t seem to open the game as I have an error stating “Sims 4: Unable to Start Error 135dec40:3fbbecd0:000000064:00000000”. As I was uninstalling sims, I deleted the Electronic Arts folder completely - unsure if that is the cause of the issue. But I assumed it would reappear after re-downloading the game.
For some background, I am installing the game on a hard drive which I erased and formatted to fit MacBook, and do not have an electronic arts folder anywhere - I have attempted to look through file directory as well. I’m also using a MacBook Air 2019 running on macOS Monterey 12.5 which I updated today.
I’ve looked for answers everywhere, and tried to do most troubleshooting advice including repairing the game, to no avail.
Thanks!

Hey! I actually managed to fix this by creating a new user in my MacBook.

To clarify, you have the game installed on an external hard drive? Does the drive and Origin have full permissions in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy?
Have you reset Origin? You will need to change the games library installation folder again after resetting https://help.ea.com/in/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
The Electronic Arts folder will not recreate until you successfully launch the game.
