Sims 4 Stuck on Loading Screen-Mac

Hi,

My sim was on a date, and when the date was over it took me to the loading screen to travel home as usual. However, it has been stuck like that for a month now, loading in the background and making my computer very slow. I am on Mac, and I do not have any mods or custom content. I did have about 200 screenshots that I deleted but the loading screen stayed the same. I have tried just quitting the game but it will not let me, and I cannot restart or repair my game through Origin with the game open. I have about 5 save files and I'm thinking that might be the issue?

Click on the desktop so you are in Finder then click on the Apple logo, top left, then Force Quit and choose the Sims 4 in the little window to force quit.
