Hello, I am new to this and idk if I'm doing it right but I just need help.
I have a 2017 Mac and Sims 4, and lately I've been moving a lot of files around and re-organizing. I recently unchecked desktop and document folders in my icloud cuz I didn't wanna clutter it. Booting up sims 4 then caused all my saves to be lost. This isn't the first time its happened, I just looked for slot_ in finder and found them all then moved them to the saves folder in my sims 4 folder. They are are there but still not booting up in the game. I've restated the game, origin, and my computer. Please help

Please could you click on your Saves folder where your saves are once to select it then go to File > Get Info. Under the General > Where section near the top of the info window please copy and paste the location of your Saves folder here.

It’s says iCloud Drive> desktop > the sims 4

It needs to be Users > [User Name] > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Make sure you have properly disabled iCloud Drive to store your Documents folder in iCloud.

I've disabled iCloud and now the saves file is saying its in the right location, but they're still not showing up in game.

I just got mine to work - my original save file had been moved into out of the EA folder. Try to search for save in finder, and see if there's another folder with different save files in it. Then try to move it to the EA folder, and if it asks if you want to replace the folder say yes, granted this new save folder has all your old files on it. If it doesn't work, then try to move it off of the desktop and just into documents! Hope this helps!
