Ever since I update from Mavericks to High Sierra.
When I open the Sims 4 I get a black screen then the screen disappears the app becomes unresponsive.
System Spec:
OS: High Sierra 10.13.6
Processor 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB
iMAC (27-inch, Late 2013)

Have you tried a clean game? Move your Sims 4 folder to the Desktop then try launching the game.

@catinatree534 Try running the Origin reset tool for macs, then disabling Origin in-game.

If that doesn't help, drag your entire TS4 game folder out of Documents and onto your desktop. When you launch the game again, if you can do so, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Play in this folder for a bit, just to make sure everything works, and then you can start moving your saves and other content into it from your old folder. Make sure to test the game after you move each batch of files to make sure it still runs.

Blacks screen is gone but app is still unresponsive. The screen is transparent now.

I tried opening the sims 4 I get a error "You can't open the application 'The Sims 4" because it may be damaged or incomplete."
