Sims 4 No sound at all after last sept. 2020 update on Mac [ Edited ]

after the last update, sept. 2020, my game has no sound, effects, or music.  but I do get the click sound when using the mouse. that's it. this was right after the update.  I don't know if it crashes, because I didn't play that long.  its weird without all sound. has anyone else experienced this?  I have a Mac, By the way.

Try repairing your game in Origin to see if that fixes it.
