Sims 4 No Sound on Mac after all tries

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Almost all of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I’m not sure, it has been solved for many people
What happens when the bug occurs? No sound when I play the game
What do you expect to see? I expect to hear the sound of the game
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I fixed it. It was so silly. I had -nosound in the Origin Advanced Game Properties from back when the sound was making the game crash 😑

Can you please plug some headphones into your Mac and see if game sound is working through them?

Is the sound working for all other apps? Have you repaired the game? Presumably all the sound options are enabled in the game options?

Yes, I’ve tried repairing the game and all sound options are on max. Sound works for everything else, even the sims 3.

Weird. Are you playing a vanilla game or do you have any Mods or custom music in the game?

You could try playing with the settings in Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup and see if that helps when you’re playing. It helped with a very specific audio cracking issue on M1 Macs https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/Audio-Cracking-Popping-When-Loading-or-Music-is-Playi... (that issue was specific to that model Mac and is not related to your problem)

Yup, it’s the vanilla game and I’ve never modded it. I’ll give that fix a try and see what happens!

Nothing has worked and I really want sound for the cottage life expansion! Any other suggestions?

Try setting the NVRAM on your Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204063 If that doesn't work, reset the SMC - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201295 (your Mac has a T2 chip)
