I have a Late 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina and every add-on except Vampires. I am fully updated with the latest patch. My Sims 4 games worked fine until yesterday. Now, I get a black screen whenever I load the game, whether it's from Origin, the Applications folder or Launchpad. I have tried every solution. I have no mods or CC loaded at the moment. I moved my Mods, Tray, and Electronic Arts folders to the Desktop, along with the Options.ini file. Fullscreen is set to 1. I tried repairing my game several times, but finally uninstalled and reinstalled both Origin and The Sims 4. What is going on and how do I fix it???

Hi @AthenaApollos,
Let's try to find out what happened so you can go back to play as soon as possible. Do you remember having updated the game or your Mac since yesterday?
Also, could you try to set Fullscreen to 0 and see if the black screen doesn't happen if you are not in fullscreen?
Thanks,
Mai

On 3/8 I bought City Living and Kids Room Stuff and on 3/9 I bought Dine Out and Backyard Stuff. I also updated to the latest patch on 3/8. Everything worked great until Monday evening (3/13). I tried changing Fullscreen to 0 and I still got the black screen crash. I have attached my Options.ini file (as a text file).

Can you move your whole Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts onto your desktop then launch the game again. If it works then please make a Sim, move them into a house and play around in build/buy and live mode for 20 minutes or so to see how stable the game is. How is it?

I moved my Electronic Arts folder to the Desktop and tried to start the game, but it still crashes to a black screen.

Ok. Have you ever installed any Mods which you had to install into a location other than the Mods folder?
Can you please try the following:
