Sims 3 turning rainbow

Hi I play sims 3 on my mac and recently whenever I try to create a sim, it turns completely rainbow and when I am in build/buy mode, the walls and floors also turn rainbow. has anyone else had this problem and/or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!

Could you take a screenshot of what you are experiencing?

By 'turning rainbow' you mean your Mac's cursor turns into a spinning rainbow or are you having a graphical issue in your game?
