Sims 3 slow download

Please help! I'm downloading sims 3 on my mac from Origin.. and ITS TAKING FOREVER.. 3 hrs and I'm on 7% woo.. I have a regular speed internet. Whats going on?

If you have a 3rd party firewall installed disable it.
If you use a VPN to connect, disable it.
In Origin, click on Origin in the menu bar then Preferences > Advanced and make sure Safe Mode Downloading is enabled.
