I just bought the MacBook Air 2018. I have downloaded and installed the sims 3 base game and university life expansion pack. When I launch the game it first asks if I want to install the update and when I click ok the rainbow loading wheel comes and I have to force quit because it is not responding. If I say no the title page loads but when I click play nothing happens and the origin app comes back.

@KryptoniteX29 The launcher wasn't designed to handle the amount of data in all the cumulative patches; it's not surprising that you haven't had any success going that route. It's much more efficient to download and run the Super Patch. Make sure you use the digital download version.

By the way, you don't need to run your game through Origin, or even have it installed on your computer. You can launch the game via its alias in Applications.
If you get an unknown error message, you likely need to edit the .sgr files to force TS3 to recognize your graphics card. If you aren't comfortable doing this yourself, you can just post your specs, including the device ID of your card, and someone will help you. Here's how to find that information:

@KryptoniteX29 I just clicked on the embedded link under Digital download—the one that says Region 17—and it worked for me. Maybe the site was down for a moment?
