Sims 3 game error? (Mac)

Every time I try to open my game to play, a message pops up saying that "an unknown error occurred" and doesn't give me any further information. Anyone have any help?

@mackeycbus  If you have any of Ambitions, Late Night, Fast Lane, or Outdoor Living installed, the unknown error is expected.  Certain files do not get copied to their proper destination, so you have to do it manually.  Please see the first post of thread linked below for a detailed explanation, as well as a helpful video tutorial:
