I purchased the Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion pack in 2010 for Mac when it first came out for the base game. That base game was lost, but I have the Sims + University Life Expansion pack. The game without any of the expansion packs worked. I tried installing World Adventures, but got a notification that the base game I had was ahead (more advanced?) than the expansion disk. I proceeded anyway. Now, when I try to load the game, it crashes. I first get a notification "It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3. We recommend that you either uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them - otherwise you may experience crashes or significant bugs." I have NEVER installed a single mod. The only thing I did is the updates suggested in the menu before starting the game. If I try to proceed with the game, as it's finished playing the intro cinematic, the game crashes, and I get a notification of an unhandled page fault (either 0x0000 something or 0x076f... it changes each time). The game then crashed How do I get the game to play? I'm furious.
