Sims 3 base game 'unknown error occured' and stuck at 100% on Mac

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)

Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Graphics  Radeon Pro 555 2 GB Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB

I'm trying to download the sims 3 base game on origin but it gets stuck at 100%. when I try to play the game it says "download in progress. Launching this game while a download is in progress can negatively impact gameplay. Are you sure you want to continue?" it gives me the option to play or cancel. when I when I click on the game from my desktop it says unknown error occurred.

I've tried deleting everything and starting over about 4 times but that doesn't work. I have other expansions but I haven't tried downloading them yet because I can't get past this problem.

Please run the Origin reset tool then try again.

I am trying to install on my IMac 2017 and I have the same error, I am searching to solve this, i contacted the support but they dont help too =(
