Sims 3 Won't Work on Mac

I am trying to install the base Sims 3 game on my Macbook Pro and have done everything suggested in several forums to fix it. I have gone around the launcher and still get an error. I have been trying to figure this out for 2 days now. I am pretty tech savvy and this is the first time I haven't been able to figure out the issue. I even installed a computer cleaner to make sure there were no extra files I had missed. I have tried going around the launcher, I have uninstalled and re-installed like 3 or 4 times, I uninstalled origin and re-installed it as well. 

I got this message when I tried to open the launcher, so I can't even start up the game.
