Sims 3 Stuck at 841/889 on MAC

[LMDP1993]

I am trying to instal sims 3 and it is stuck at 841 out of 889 files.

It's done this before and I don't know why.

I am doing it from a product key I bought rather than disc as my mac has no disc drive.

Anyone know why this might be?

Where have you downloaded the game from? It sounds like the installer is corrupted, you need to manually uninstall the files which have installed then download the game again and install it. I downloaded the game/ bought the game from MMOGA. They sent me a download Key. I don't have any sims files on my computer.

I guess I could delete the origin client?

It is still stuck even though I deleted and redownloaded the origin installer. 

I have no idea what to do

Hi - can you advise on how to fix this? Stuck on the same issue.

@magilljt  This happens sometimes.  The best thing to do is to start with a clean uninstall of the TS3 base game, reset Origin, and try again.

If that doesn't work, please post back.  There's a way to manually install once you've downloaded the installer from Origin; that might be more efficient.
