Sims 3 Crashed - Seasons

Hi! I downloaded all of my sims content onto a new computer after not having played in about a year. I have a few expansion packs, pets, high end lofts, seasons, etc. Every time I go to play, it crashes and says "Unknown Error" with the sims seasons logo. I hit the pets version to play specifically, and it starts to load, but a second sims pops up with the seasons logo and it all crashes again. I was convinced it was all on the Seasons pack, so I deleted it from my application. Well, it's still happening. Help!!!!

@shelbkc  There are a few different causes of the unknown error message, and which fixes you need to apply will depend on your computer's specs and which packs you have installed.  So if would be helpful if you could provide the specs, as described in this post, as well as a list of your packs.

In the meantime, since you've already uninstalled Seasons, it's best to do a clean uninstall.  If you don't remove the hidden library files the uninstaller can't reach, you may not be able to load your game going forward, even if you do everything else right.

Then you can install the base game only, and run the Super Patch (digital download version) to manually patch the game to 1.67.  The launcher doesn't always do a thorough job of patching on its own, and running the Super Patch won't hurt.

Let me know whether the base game alone launches, and then we can figure out which fix(es) you need to apply.
