Save File Transfer?

★★★ Novice

(Sorry for the dumb question)

Would it be possible to retrieve saves from an old hard drive and transfer them to my current saves folder? I didn't think to copy my old saves and none of my lots are on the exchange, but I'm curious about what kind of stuff I built back in the day!

@punkbees  Yes, if you can access your old hard drive, you can retrieve everything you made in Sims 3 while using that computer, provided you didn't delete that content at some point.  The Sims 3 user data folder is in Documents\Electronic Arts, and it contains saves, saved households and builds, sims saved in CAS, screenshots, etc.  Here's the full list:

All you need to do is place the files you want to access in the corresponding folders on your current computer, and they should be available to load or use.  You can transfer them through direct filesharing if both computers support it, via an external hard drive or USB, or by uploading the content to a filehosting site and downloading it on the new computer.
