Resolution problem on MacBook Air M1

★★★★ Novice

Hey, I tried The Sims 3 on my new MacBook Air M1 and the only resolutions I have a don't match my screen, it looks weird. The sound is crackling a bit too.

Re: Resolution problem on MacBook Air M1

@Bowedy17  The new MacBook Air with the M1 chip has a native resolution of 2560x1600, the option below the one you have highlighted.  If the screen still looks strange, try switching to windowed mode and back to fullscreen.  It may also help to switch to 1440x900 (a supported scaled resolution) and back.  Try it in both fullscreen and windowed modes.

If none of this helps, go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete the file lableled options.ini.  This will reset all your graphics options as well as the rest of your settings to their defaults.

Thanks for your help, @puzzlezaddict (:

I just had to restart the game to fix the resolution.
