how to download sims 3 starter pack onto macbook air with no disc drive

I’m not able to install my game onto my MacBook Air. Every time I try to it says “Download failed” what do I do? I already payed for the game and if I can’t get it working then I want my money back.

What version of macOS does your MacBook Air run?  Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen and select About This Mac to see it.
