The Sims 4 Won't Launch Due to Updates

Hey, I have the same problem. It says that to play the game I need to update the game, but it's already been updated. Anyway, I click update and it says my game is ready to play. I click play for the sims 4 and it says that I need to update the game. I've reset origin using that tool, i've uninstalled it and installed it again, i've restarted my mac and i've tried to play on different users. I've also repaired the game using the repair option in origin and I still have the same problem. Not sure what to do.

Can you launch the game from your Applications folder?
