Sims 4 keeps quitting unexpectedly every time I start gameplay on my Mac

I've split your post from the thread you replied in as it was over a year old and out of date. I've also moved it to the Mac tech forum for Mac specific help.

Have you moved your Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop and launched a brand new clean game to see if the game works?

Here is some more info about my iMac

I tried playing with and without the legacy edition, both do not work. I don't have an anti virus program running. And i also don't use CC/mods

Thanks. Do you have a lastCrash report in the Sims 4 folder dated from when it last crashed? If so, please can you c/p the contents here.

How did you get on after moving the Sims 4 folder to the desktop then launching the game?

Moving the folder didn't help unfortunatly..

Ok. Two last things to try before going nuclear and uninstalling and reinstalling Origin and the game:

1. Try a super repair - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting...

2. Create a new user account on your Mac and see if you can play the game in that account.

hi, I was able to get the sims to work on a different user account on the mac. Does that mean I just can't play it on my account any more?
