Sims 4 Crashing after September 2020 update

I can maybe play for about 5 minutes, it begins to glitch, freeze... and force my screen to flicker solid red... THEN it takes for EVER to shut down properly.  I too only use base game material, no mods and ccs.

I also tried to play a new game, and it still won't function properly.

How can I do that on a MAC. I am only finding PC references with windows in the link provided. Thank you!
