Re Installing question

Hi, Ive been using the sims 3 for almost 2 years now and my into the future expansion pack disc is now no longer being excepted by my mac book, when I put the disc in it just ejects it back out. I would like to know if I can re install my sims game and use a different expansion pack disc to launch the game rather than the non working into the future disc??

You must run the game using the most recent EP.
