Game Crashing after 10/06/2020 update.

I'm having the same issue. My game keeps crashing like 15-20 minutes into each game. It's unbearable. This just started the first time I logged in after the last patch.

Whoops, I'm on a mac and didn't realize this was a PC specific thread (I just searched for my issue and this came up). Sorry! I'll try to make my over to a mac specific thread.

@dmaze1766 Also I just updated everything and I cleaned out any outdated mods that were coming up in my last exception file. Now the game crashes immediately after I load up my family to play.

Change the in-game graphics options to all low and disable edge smoothing. Enable laptop mode too. Your Mac has a very low spec. processor/graphics chip which will struggle with apps that require heavy processing like Sims 4. Lowering all the settings should help.

You should also try with a new clean game folder. Move the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop and launch the game so a new one is created. Try a new game and see if gameplay improves.

I set all the setting to low, I even turned off retina display, which looked awful -- and it still crashed immediately. 

I haven't tried the clean folder yet, will try that tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
