Your contents of your Documents folder should not be in your Applications folder, the contents should be in your Documents folder, the correct file path for the game is:

Macintosh HD > Users > Your Mac user account name > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4

Gen77, whatever that is on your Mac, is the default application that has been set to open the .package files. That's why seeing what is in your Applications folder may help determine why it is happening.

Now the file path is correct, is the CC showing up?

Thanks. Firstly, get rid of MacKeeper immediately. It is an appalling piece of software that does more harm than good. It can potentially delete core files resulting in operating system instability. But.... it is not easy to delete as it typically rebuilds itself - https://www.macworld.com/article/2861435/software-utilities/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-from-your-mac...

Secondly, the app you have installed, Open Any File, is probably what's causing the weird default programs to open the .package files. I would also suggest getting rid of that for now too, you can always reinstall it later.
