Problems with my SIMS 4 download on Mac

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out, because I have restarted my download of sims 4 again this afternoon.

Not only has it been taking hours to finish (wich it still hasn't). I started around 3pm and it now is almost 11pm. On top my download doesn't seem to go further than 88%. Which seems quite strange since I can't detect any problem. Furthermore I was also wondering why my network stops while downloading for a while, since my wlan connection is as strong as it can possibly be and no other devices are using it atm. 

Another problems consists in the fact that I am only capable of closing Origin with my task manager on Mac. Closing it normally is impossible, since the program pauses the download but Origin itself is not fully closed.

Do you know how fast your connection is? You can test it here - http://www.speedtest.net

Some ISPs throttle a user's connection speed when downloading large files. Sims 4 is 10Gb or so so that may be happening too.
