Problem with sims 4 after I hit play

Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Im not sure
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have the deluxe deal
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure
What happens when the bug occurs? I can hit play to play the game and then I can see it in the taskbar, but then the window to play sims doesn't open and when I right-click on the sims 4 thing in my taskbar it says "Application not responding"
What do you expect to see? The window for the sims game to be played on
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Are you on a Mac or a PC? You've stated Mac but Macs don't have a taskbar like Windows.
