PLEASE HELP! Crash at Loading Screen

Every time I try to open The Sims 4, I see the opening screen animation, and then a second of the loading screen -- and then the game crashes. I've tried everything I can think of, but the problem still remains.

So far I've tried all of these several times:

• Removing all CC and mods
• Deleting localthumbcache and clearing the cache
• Repairing the game in Origin
• Updating and restarting my computer
• Deleting large files on my computer
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin and The Sims 4
• Checking the game for updates
• Turning off "Origin In Game"

Nothing is working, and I don't know what to do. Somebody, please help me!

Okay, I figured it out! Here's what I did:

1. Made a copy of my Sims 4 folder
2. Removed the original Sims 4 folder from its parent folder
3. Opened the game so a new Sims 4 folder would spawn (this time, the game opened without crashing)
4. Moved back ONLY my mods and saves, deleting the spawned save & mod folders
5. Reopened The Sims 4, and the game worked!

I'm not exactly sure what was causing the game to crash, but I know it must have been any of the files that weren't a save or a mod. Hopefully, this can help if anyone else gets the same issue!

I've attached photos of my Mac info. BTW, I'm playing the normal game, not legacy.

Thanks. Can you set up a new user account on your Mac and see if the game works in that account? Don't copy over any of your files, play as new.

No you will not have to buy the game again. You are setting up a new user account on your Mac, not a new Origin account.

Oh my gosh! It worked, thank you! I'm going to try to transfer things from my Sims folder on this account one by one and keep you updated.

Did that work for you in your normal user account, or the new one you created?

After it worked for my new one, it worked, so I thought to try it with my normal user account, and it worked there too. I deleted my new throwaway user, and the game is working fine on my normal one now.
