[The Sims 4] CAS dragging is very sluggish/laggy

★★★ Novice

So whenever I drag features on a sims face it's becomes laggy and it has a slight delay. Any way I can fix this?

My specs:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Here's an example of what I'm talking about, it's hard to see but there's a slight delay.

Champion

Do you use CC or Mods? Those can cause the lag you are experiencing.

@JasonLovesCats

I’ve moved your post to this one as it is an issue affecting some users with Intel integrated graphics.

Thank you for the video, very helpful. As you can see in this thread, EA are aware of the issue but there is unfortunately no current fix. Clicking on the Me Too button in the opening post would be great Standard smile

You could enable laptop mode in your game and see if it helps.

@Tremayne4260 I tried removing all CC/Mods and I still have the issue. Also I put most of my graphics to the lowest setting.

@Bluebellflora Done, thanks for reminding me.

I also have this problem. Here are my specs:

Running macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

I updated to Mojave before having this problem.

I did not recently update my game or Origin.

I use my trackpad as a pointing device

I have Go To Work and City Living installed.

I don't have a monitor (I think? Sorry, I'm not very tech-y)

Only Origin runs while I play.

Origin in-game is enabled.

Turns out installing Mojave didn't help, so I'm carrying out a super repair at the moment. I should've tried it a long time ago, yet it probably won't work from what I can tell by the amount of activity on this page.
